Happy New Year babies

GrCH Somerhill Little Big Horn and GrCH Somerhill Silver City have added
2 new little chinchillas to our rabbitry.   She had them on New Year's Eve.

2 weeks old

Now they look like bunnies. Sire:  Brentwood (chocolate) x Oakland (chin)  
We have: Chestnut buck, chestnut doe, red buck, black doe, 4 chinchilla does. Sex may change without notice. :^) I figured out how to take a picture without them jumping off the grooming stand or simply zooming around too much to get a photo. They got to sit on my new, squishy soft scarf a friend made me for Christmas.

Brentwood and Oakland have a black, 4 chinchilla, 1 red, and 2 chestnut/coppers

A chocolate chinchilla, 4.5 months old.  He has the silkiest feeling wool ever,

 with amazing sheen.  And is the sweetest guy, too.

Hard to get a photo of him - he is a busy boy.

Clearly, our neighbor has too much time on his hands....

Luckily for these little guys, mama Oakland pulled LOTS of wool, and they are toasty warm and well fed this morning.  Looks like 7 black agoutis (could be copper, chestnut, or chinchilla) and a red.

They are sired by Brentwood (chocolate)

Somerhill Whitehorse

A 2 month old Yukon/Pasadena daughter, she is near perfection.
Can't wait to get her on the show table.  PaSRBA, here we come!

A four month old daughter of Brentwood/LaJoya.   She started her show
career at the Lancaster double, with both judges raving about her type.
