FOR SALE (SOLD)

 Well, disappointing as this is, she just is not show/breeding material.  BUT - she has gorgeous, silky, crimpy, easy care wool and a sweet temperament, so would make someone a nice wooler.  Anyone looking, or know someone they would recommend?   A home with good care is much more important to me that $$$.    Somerhill Margravine (b 12-9-22) is available w/o pedigree to a good wooler home. $50

Springfield OH CF show

 We had a ball at the show in Springfield, OH yesterday!  As usual, it was a well run show and well attended.  Frosties were sanctioned for sweeps points for CF club members.  We had SEVENTEEN entered!   5 SR bucks, 6 SR does, 4 JR bucks, and 2 JR does.   In Show A, Catherine  Greenwood had both BOB and BOS with her doe, RA Joy and her SR buck, Rosebrook Farm Rolo.  (judged Brian Shirk)    In Show B, Cat had BOB with a different homebred doe, Azul, and I had BOS with a JR buck, Somerhill Artis.  (judge Joey Martin)   Artis went home with his new owner, Lisa Moretti, who is holding him in the photo.   I was pretty happy to win this honor with a 3 month old buck out of my very first litter.

Posing Czech Frosties

As you can see, Frosties are not as easy to pose as angoras are.  They are very active, and take offense when you try to guide them into the correct pose.   Picture 3 is the best one; they should be slightly upright to show off the level topline.  Their type is best described as a 2 liter bottle.  LOL    Shoulders and hips are to be the same width, and straight sides.  You want full hindquarters that are meaty to the table.  Nice, heavy bone, thick, open ears, and that characteristic wide head and chubby cheeks.   My model this evening is Somerhill Artis (SH5), a 3 month old buck.  

 

15 days old

 At 15 days, they are looking like bunnies now, and very fat.   I still think I have a red buck and REW doe.   He is very red, and has the red lap  marks and cream belly and other agouti marks that a red should have.   Now let's hope he has the type!
