Yesterday I left the farmer's market at noon and took off for Cincinnati. Got down there at 4 and met Joyce and picked up 7 rabbits from her. They belonged to a friend, Kathy, who is ill and needs to find homes for most of her angoras.
What a beautiful day for a long drive! I met Lynn south of Columbus and dropped off 2 SA bucks, then Annette and Andrew in NE Columbus with an FA buck, and then off to Newark to drop off 2 FAs to Tina. One of Tina's puppies had gotten hurt just as I arrived there, so we had some excitement figuring out what was wrong and how to help. He was doing OK when I left.
I got home at 10PM, settled the 4 remaining does in my quarantine pens, and FLOP in my chair. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz in minutes!
This morning I got some pictures of the new Satin Angora does. This is Somerhill Chardonnay.
The black doe above is Abbi, and below is a chocolate agouti named Ariel. Ariel and Abbi were bred by Dustin Maschino. They both have Somerhill in their pedigrees.
Beautiful new additions! Reading your blog makes me want to have angora rabbits!
