Stella is for sale SOLD

Sloan's Stella (Somerhill on both sides of pedigree) will be available as soon as she weans her litter in about a month.   She is a dark, rich chestnut,  registered, 2 legs, has successfully raised 2 litters for me. Born 5/2019.   She has good wool regrowth, is pluckable, and has a pleasant temperament.  Carries chinchilla.  $100.   Could be delivered to the MAC/UARC triple specialty in Michigan in June.   Speak up, and you can reserve a copper buck to make a nice breeding pair.

3 week old cuties

Knight and Stella's babies are growing up.  There is a black buck, chinchilla doe(?), ermine buck, and chestnut doe.  All but the chestnut will be available in a few weeks.  She may be staying with me. The ermine as a wooler, and possibly the black, too.  I think he may be a self chin.  If you are interested in Stella, if I keep her daughter, Stella will be available.  She is registered, has 2 GC legs, and has raised 2  nice litters.  She is the chinchilla carrier.

Expected 1-1-2020

For the first time in over a year, we are expecting a litter!   Belle is due on New Year's Day.  These kits should be awesome.  There should be both black and chocolate chinchillas available from this breeding.

Wish they all could be California girls

This is Somerhill California, the foundation of all my current color lines - red, pearl, & chinchilla.
She is 6.5 years old, and still just as beautiful, and cranks out a 4 inch, pluckable coat every
4-5 months.

My latest chinchillas

Somerhill Teslintoo (Quicksilver x Teslin) is a chocolate chinchilla doe.   Somerhill Spook (Quicksilver x Fury) is a black chinchilla buck.  They are both nearly 3 months old now, and I have high hopes for them at shows this spring.  They will be my main entry for the national angora specialty show in April.

Fury's babies

Fury's babies are opening their eyes now.  She has 2 reds and 3 coppers by Russet.
The little guy in the center back is a foster chinchilla from Silver City and Spikenard.
If I were going to guess, it looks like 2 copper bucks, one copper doe, 2 red does,
and the little chinchilla is a doe, too.

Wool-A-Rama Winner

Finishing her show career with a BANG!, Somerhill Belle Haven was
Best of Breed for all four shows at the Wool-a-Rama last weekend.
She now has 9 GC legs, and is retired at the tender age of 6 months.
This is my third year for the show, and the third time one of my chinchilla
does swept the BOB in Satin Angoras.   2 years ago, her grandmother,
Somerhill Silver City did it, and last year, Somerhill Driftwood did.

Novelty Skein

Spin from alternating bands of chinchilla Satin angora, black alpaca, chocolate
chinchilla, and brown alpaca.  The angora was seconds, so spun thick and
thin for added texture.   It made 132 yards.

Newest Litter

GrCH Somerhill Billy  Somerhill Adela.  Check out the bone on those 2 bucks on the left!
