Rabbit Cacciatore

1 rabbit, cut into 6 pieces
Olive oil
1 large onion, sliced
3-4 sliced garden fresh tomatoes, or can of stewed tomatoes
1 c chicken broth
Green pepper, cored and sliced
2 tsp oregano
salt & pepper to taste

Brown rabbit in olive oil in skillet.  Add other ingredients, cover skillet, and simmer for 1 hour, or until rabbit is well cooked and begins to fall off bone.  If needed, add more broth during the cooking process.
Serve over pasta or rice.
