SCORBA show results
Had a great time at the SCORBA show yesterday in Circleville. A couple friends had to cancel last moment, but we still had enough for legs in classes. Somerhill Arlo, my first homebred Frosty was BOB in Show B under Joe Colucci, and is now granded. His daughter, Carly, was BOS and also finished her championship. Plus, a doe I just bought back - one of the original kits that came to me with a herd buyout last May - BC's Beata, was BOB in Show A under Mike Adams.

Hall of Fame weekend
Since it was the first Frosty specialty held in Ohio, we made them special. These are the prizes for Show B. Show A prizes were etched glass tumblers, and small thermos with CF decals on them.
We had 25 Frosties entered, so the classes were full. In Show B, one of my "D" litter does was BOS. Somerhill Dream was shown by her owner, Darby. She won 2 legs during the weekend.

We held an angora specialty on Saturday as well. I did not show, but was the secretary, so did all the paperwork. 2 Somerhill junior bucks were shown. One was BOSV in white classes, and the other was BOSV in colors, and was selected BOS, too. Somerhill Skyfall & Red Sky at Knight did well in their first shows!

16 days old
Somerhill Arlo x Rose Arbor Bre kits are 16 days old and heavy as bricks.
See that slender piece of straw in the foreground of the pic? I only got one chance at a photo because when I reached in to gently remove it from the pic, all h*ll broke loose. Bunny screamed, and then all of them leaped in all directions, including out the open cage door. Thankfully, I am prepared for such nonsense, and caught the little darling as it flew toward my head. Washington PA show results
I decided to return to the Washington PA show after a few year's hiatus. We had 15 Frosties entered. For Show A, Diana Keisel had BOS with her JR doe, and Lorry Jankowski had BOB with her SR buck. Judged by Nita Butler. In show B, Linda Berkebile had BOB with her SR doe, and Lorry's SR buck was BOS.

First show of the new year results
Had fun at the quad show and Frosty specialty in Richmond IN this weekend. Friend Lisa M and I rented a house to stay over.
We had 31 entered by 7 exhibitors, so big classes. My rabbits did well overall; most of the time we were in the top 5. The big news is that Rose Arbor Ellen, my JR doe, was BOS in 3 of the 5 shows! That is Ellen on the left.

New Year's Eve litters
2023 ended with a BANG! Peacock LR2 had 6 new Frosties when I checked her at midnight, and Halcyon (REW Satin Angora) had 11! I am so glad I went out and checked her, because the nest was soaking wet, and 5 of the kits were DOA. I had to completely replace the nesting materials and get them settled back into a warm, dry nest. I am very pleased with 6 live babies from her.
These are the 2 New Year's eve litters. The Satin Angoras will all be REW - GrCH Somerhill Knights in White Satin x Somerhill Halcyon. The Frosties are from Somerhill Arlo and Peacock LR2

CF sweeps
It's halfway through the year, and the sweeps points standings are out. I am amazed to be second in show points behind Dori Smith, who got the breed recognized by ARBA and is the "queen" of Frosties. I will never catch her, but its nice being second in the nation, anyway.

Lancaster show today!
Somerhill Delta was BOB in Show A today in Lancaster (OH) under judge Hannah Reynard. There were 22 Frosties entered by 7 exhibitors. I had the top 4 junior does in Show A, and Arlo placed 2nd of 7 SR bucks.
In Show B, Arlo was 1st SR buck, and Somerhill Carly was 1st junior doe of 8. Besides that, we were done showing at 1PM, and it was a beautiful sunny day. Lunch with friends Annette and Lisa iced the cake.

Finished Billy's Title!
It was a double show weekend at Piketon. PRBA had 2 shows on Saturday, and Somerhill Billy (Frosty) was BOB in Show A. This is his 4th leg, and he is now registered, and eligible for his championship! PRetty good for a buck that just turned 6 months a couple days before. BOS was Somerhill Cairo, and junior doe that was sold to the Durbin family. The judge in Show B turned the classes on their head, so no wins there.
On Sunday, Diamond in the Hare had 2 shows. No wins, but I had some good placings. Mainly, 2 does went to their new homes, and I got some help deciding what JR bucks to keep and grow out for sale.

Somerhill Delta (NFS)
She just turned 3 months old, and is 4.08#, so growing well. I love her dense, silky textured coat. The whole litter has parallel rear feet. She has good balance of shoulder to hip, and full hindquarters. Nice, level topline when posed.
