This is the view out my window as I sit at the computer right now. I love tiger lilies. These were here when we moved into the farmhouse. A hummingbird frequents them, and I enjoy the sound of his wings.
We had a big thunderstorm yesterday that dumped over an inch of rain in less than a half hour. It was VERY humid the rest of the day, and then during the night we kept waking to the sound of thunder. Today, the sky is clear and the air is clean, and there is a strong breeze that gusts through the house, blowing papers around. I can hear Chuck's windchimes on the front porch.

Tie the skein in 4 different places so that it does not get tangled during the dyeing and rinsing process. Be sure to leave it loose so...

Nice descriptive post, Lisa. Our lilies won't bloom for a couple weeks - usually early July. We got an inch of rain the other night. We need it so much, it was a pleasure to watch it come down.
Pretty. And I see lots of other things going on around your place too. I think we have a skunk again.
our lillies are in bloom right now too. there used to be a patch more than likely leftover from an old farmstead on the road to our house...the flood of 93 got them. We have considered re-locating some back to that spot just for fun...we miss seeing them there. they are nuclear proof but not flood resistant.
