I always thought vermillion and russet should be more red than pink. Mine always turn out a pink color and I thought I was totally messing up the color. I am happy to see your colors turn out the same I guess I have not got it messed up after all.
When I dye with Russet, it comes out a watermelon red. Its one of my favorite colors.
And Gunmetal - comes out like bluejeans for me.
Gunmetal comes out a blue color for me to! It drives me crazy LOL
I'd advise anyone who wants to buy some to get it while it lasts. I made the mistake of passing it by in Springfield and when I came back to get it, it was gone! I had to settle for blue:(
