Look who I found this morning at 6:30 when I checked the barn. This is a single ewe lamb from Rowan. She is dry and well fed, and looking pretty perky I think. :^) Her name is Lourdes.
Her sire is Lanark also, making her 25% Carryhouse R1, 12.5% Laird, 25% Loyalty.

How many lambs are you expecting this season?
Wow I really wish I knew enough about sheep and had more space and better health to do stuff like this! You are so totally blessed. Nice Ewe! Congrats.
Probably about 35 Bluefaced Leicesters (what are lambing now) and about 60 Katahdins. The Kats won't start lambing for another month.
We had another ewe lamb this afternoon from Ballad, but I have not taken a picture of her yet for the blog. She is loud and really cute.
I forgot to say, both the other lambs are toddling after their mothers in the pasture. They really seemed to enjoy sleeping in the sunshine today.
